Abigail Morgan, L.Ac, FABORM (aka MamaFloat) is a Board-Certified, Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist and a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College and a B.A. in Languages and Literature from Bard College.  She was raised in New York City by loving parents in the arts.  For a year, she lived with her younger brother and her parents in a studio above a Broadway theatre, while their apartment was being renovated.

To say her upbringing was eclectic would be a mild understatement.

She moved to Los Angeles in 2001 because she was tired of slogging through Februaries.  One week later, she met the man of her dreams.  Five years later she married him.  Fourteen years later they are still together and the parents of two awesome kids.  They still can’t figure out how they got so lucky.

Abigail is the Owner and Clinic Director of FLOAT: Chinese Medical Arts (born in Glendale), and the mother of two young children who were born at home underwater, two years apart, in a 100 Gallon inflatable kiddie pool emblazoned with blue fish.

She enjoys organic gardening, cooking, hiking, African dance, hip-hop, and making art projects with her kids.  She is slowly but surely working on a book of essays about her experience falling down the rabbit hole of postpartum anxiety after having two kids in two years.

Blogging about Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Holistic Health and Mothering is one of her favorite ways to procrastinate working on her book.
